BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian University (BMCU) is pleased to announce the return of Dr. Timothy Mims as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Co-Director of Church Minister Relations. Dr. Mims, a seasoned pastor with 29 years of experience in ministry, will play a key role in mentoring the next generation of Christian leaders.
“I love Blue Mountain Christian University and am excited about coming back home,” Dr. Mims said. “As I celebrate 29 years of pastoral ministry, my heart is passionate about investing in the next generation of ministers—those who will preach, lead, and shepherd churches both in our region and around the world."
Dr. Mims emphasized the importance of both academic excellence and compassionate ministry. “I recognize and honor the deep legacy of ministerial training at BMCU, and I look forward to encouraging a passion for both strong biblical theology and a holy fire for evangelism. As a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and of BMCU, I am committed to fanning into flame the calling of young leaders and guarding that sacred trust.”
Dr. Mims’ return to BMCU is a part of the university’s continued commitment to offering high-quality theological education. His experience and passion for teaching and ministry will strengthen BMCU’s mission to equip students for leadership in both the Church and the world.
