FAQs
1. When can I expect to see my room assignment after filling out the BMCU Housing Application?
Each student will receive notification via BMC.edu email of their housing assignment within 48 hours of completing the application. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis and assignments are subject to change. Any changes to a student’s housing assignment will be communicated via BMC.edu email.
2. Can I obtain my roommate/suitemate’s contact information for coordinating room organization, décor, etc.?
If your roommate/suitemate has authorized the release of their personal contact information on the BMCU Housing Application, you can receive that information by contacting the Dean of Student’s Office at #662-685-4771 x247 or by emailing Dean Butler at bbutler@bmc.edu. You can also email your roommate/suitemate via their BMC.edu email address (firstnamelastname@bmc.edu).
3. How do I request a private room?
There is a section to request a private room at an additional cost on the BMCU Housing Application. Private rooms are limited and are awarded on a first come first serve basis. Students will be notified via their university email if the private room request cannot be satisfied.
4. Can I go see my room during my Campus Registration Day?
Students attending a Summer registration event can visit their dorm but may be restricted to viewing a designated showroom due to cleaning, construction, and repair taking place.
