Who Can APPLY?

To apply for the Honors College, you must:

  • Have 27+ ACT (or equivalent score)
  • Have fewer than 30 college credit hours (students with more than 30 hours may qualify for the Honors Program)
  • Be accepted to BMCU
  • Submit the following:

Completed Honors College application

recent photo

cover letter introducing yourself and describing your:

Skills and experiences

Leadership positions

Honors, awards, and memberships

Community service/volunteerism

resume with three professional references.

FAFSA filed with the BMCU Financial Aid Office


What Are the Requirements?

Maintain a 3.0 GPA to keep your scholarship

Live on campus (required for the full scholarship)

Participate in:

Fall service project

Cultural learning trip

Mississippi Honors Convention

Three-semester research project with a paper and presentation
