RELOCATION OF CLASSES FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2014

Blue Mountain College will be hosting a Math-Science Tournament on the campus on Tuesday, February 11, and will therefore relocate the following classes on that day:

8:00 - 9:15 a.m.
EN211B, Survey English Literature II, will meet in Fisher/Washburn, Room 214
PY343A, Experimental Psychology, will meet in Education Building, Room 108
RL421A, Christian Theology, will meet in Education Building, Room 113

9:25 - 10:40 a.m.
EN355A, Advanced Grammar, will meet in Education Building, Room 117
HI400A, Modern Europe to 1914, will meet in Fisher/Washburn, Room 214
RL201A, New Testament II, will meet in Education Building, Room 110

10:50 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.
EN321A, American Literature II, will meet in Education Building, Room 117
HI111B, Western Civilization II, will meet in Lowrey Administration Building, Room 30
PY441A, Abnormal Psychology, will meet in Lowrey Administration Building, Room 32

The afternoon classes will not be affected by this event. PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THESE CHANGES SO AS NOT TO INTERRUPT THE CAMPUS VISITORS DURING THE COMPETITION.

BSU Announcements:

Ripley Boys and Girls Club needs homework tutor volunteers from 3:10 pm - 4:10 pm Monday-Thursday. (Once a week is fine.) Contact Veronica Gibbs 837-9809, 587-9446. vgibbs@bgcmns.org

Help tutor ESL students at FBC New Albany 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Tuesday’s. You do not have to be there every Tuesday. Contact Andrea Smith – 534-6316

Noonday meets 1:00-1:25 Monday’s and 12:35-1:00 Thursday’s at the BSU.

TEACHER INTERNS, FALL 2014:

If you plan to enroll in teacher internship this fall 2014, you must fill out an application available in the Office of the Department of Education in the Education Building. Deadline is Friday, February 14. A mandatory orientation will be held on Wednesday, February 19.

Spring II Online Students:

The Spring II Online Term begins March 3. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on February 10. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on March 3 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

Financial Aid:

It is time to apply for Financial Aid for the 2014-2015 academic year!

· Federal Aid: Complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Priority filing date is March 1, 2014.

· State of Mississippi Financial Aid – Various grant and scholarship opportunities. Application deadlines vary. www.riseupms.com

· Mississippi Baptist Foundation. Application deadline is May 31, 2014 www.msbaptistfoundation.org

CLEP Tests:

CLEP tests will be given each Tuesday and Friday afternoon at 1:30. You must pre-register to take the tests. Please contact Eddie Rucker at erucker@bmc.edu regarding registration.

Attention Scholarship Letter Recipients

Please remember to send thank you letters to your scholarship donors and forward a copy of each letter to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Deadline by April 1.

Blood Drive

On Tuesday, February 18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM the English Club will have a blood drive in the upper level of the Student Union Building (SUB).  Please contact Sandra Priest or Dylan Williams if interested in participating.
