Greetings! This is either a very late message or an early one—let’s call it early since I will be traveling on Monday and away from the office. I hope that everyone has enjoyed a blessed week on our beautiful campus. I had the special privilege last night of witnessing the excitement of rush as our female students made their society pledges. Now that was a loud and happy group!
Best wishes to our XC team as they will be competing tomorrow at Freed-Hardeman. Run hard, Toppers! Congrats to Martha Chunn for being named last week’s SSAC runner of the week.
Please continue to pray for all those affected by Harvey and those who are now in the path of Irma. We have a number of graduates who live in Florida. Pray for the safety of all those who are contending with this very serious threat. The BSU is collecting water to send to the hurricane-stricken areas.
Next week I will have the opportunity to represent BMC at the fall meeting of the Mississippi Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Jackson. On Wednesday my travels will then take me to Anderson University in South Carolina for a meeting of the Consortium for Global Education. I covet your prayers as I will be traveling from one destination to the next and away most of the week.
Reminder: Campus Revival, October 9-11!
