Dear Alumni and Friends of BMC:

I hope that you are staying cool and enjoying a good summer. These warm July days are providing just the right conditions for work to progress quickly on our new Sportsplex. As you know, the College was blessed with the opportunity to begin this project through the support of Profile, Hill Brothers Construction, ILM of Falkner, ESI of Tupelo, Mayor Doug Norton and the Town of Blue Mountain, our Tippah County Supervisors, and other area leaders. Mr. Kenneth Hill and his team worked diligently on the drainage needed for the site last fall and into January before the winter season brought work to a halt. Work on the drainage resumed in the month of June and considerable progress is being made.

The College has committed to proceed with this project as funds are available. Many have given generously, enabling us to pay for the project as we go-and we are so very grateful! To date, this phase of the project has cost approximately $200,000; completing the drainage work will require an additional $115,000. A generous donor has agreed to match gifts up to $300,000, so a gift given now will be worth twice the amount! If we can raise at least half of the $115,000 now, we can keep the equipment rolling at the site, completing this important initial phase of the project. Once our funds are depleted, we will have to cease operations and restart this phase later, which will result in our having to address the additional expense that is associated with stopping and then restarting the project.

So, we need your help to keep the big machinery moving at the BMC Sportsplex site. Would you prayerfully consider helping us to meet this goal? To give a gift online, click here and designate "sportsplex" in the comments box. Thank you!

With gratitude,
Barbara C. McMillin
