About the Department:

History is an incredible subject wether it be World, American, Environmental, Military, or a plethora of other fields. All of us create history everyday so it is important that we learn from it, strive to do our best to understand its relevance, and use it to make a positive mark for Christ on this world. Regardless of if you want to teach on the college level or work for the government or the private sector, the history department is here to help you. As mentioned earlier, we have numerous internship sites in various states and a number of opportunities for our students in order to help them to receive the career position they are striving for. Historians are needed in many areas of the public and private sector including but not limited to the National and State Park Service, United States Military, various corporations, Law firms, Large and small museums, and much more. Also, our capstone course in History will prepare you for Graduate School by helping you develop your skills in historical research and writing while also making sure you have received a strong background in World and American History.      The Psychology program covers a vast amount of topics and has something for everyone. Our capstone course for seniors along with various internship opportunities will allow you to grow and take on challenges you may not have thought you could handle before. There are many majors to add to this field and also a number of minor fields of study to choose from. The Psychology and History programs will allow you to add other fields of study in order to broaden your horizons and to become marketable in many ways.
