CRIMINAL JUSTICE COURSES ADDED FOR FALL 2014

The following courses in Criminal Justice have been added to the course schedule for this fall. Implementation of a degree program in Criminal Justice is pending SACSCOC approval.

CJ 120 – Intro. To Criminal Justice – 9:25 TR
CJ 240 – Juvenile Justice – 10:40 MWF
CJ 320 – Criminal Investigations – 10:50 TR
CJ 340 – Understanding the Criminal Mind – 1:30 MWF
CJ 360 – Criminology – 8:00 MWF

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared. Transcripts and diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement.

FINANCIAL AID FOR 2014-2015:

Federal Aid - Complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov .

State of Mississippi Financial Aid – Various grant and scholarship opportunities. Application deadlines vary.

Office of Business Affairs

All charges for room and board, tuition and fees of every kind must be paid in full to the Office of Business Affairs before the student’s official transcript can be released or a diploma can be awarded. Grades will not be accessible until satisfactory arrangements have been made in the Office of Business Affairs. Thank you in advance for your payment.

ONLINE STUDENTS

MARK your calendars when your online courses begin and end, and check your BMC email accounts throughout the summer!!
· Summer II 2014 Online Students:
The Summer II Online Term began June 23. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information were emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on May 23. Login instructions were emailed to BMC email accounts on Monday, June 23 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.
· Fall I 2014 Online Students:
The Fall I Online Term begins August 25. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on July 28. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on August 25 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

FALL REGISTRATION DEADLINES

Registration deadlines/information for the Fall 2014 Term are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the “it’s a blue summer!” link and follow the GPS for Continuing Students.

A $100 late registration fee will be assessed if fees are not paid or arrangements are not made with the Office of Business Affairs by the published deadlines. Continuing students will not be required to submit registration forms for the summer unless address changes or changes in vehicle registration need to be reported.
