BSU ANNOUNCEMENTS:

· Noonday meets 1:00-1:25 Monday’s and 12:35-1:00 Thursday’s at the BSU.
· Commissioning Service for Summer Missionaries and Summer Workers featuring Gary Permenter is Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 PM in the MLB Auditorium.
· Summer Missions Fundraiser – McAlister’s Deli in New Albany between 5 and 8 on Monday night April 28.

Student Time Cards

Student time cards for April 2014 are due in the Office of financial Aid by Monday, April 28, 2014 by 1:00 pm. Student payroll will be distributed as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

CLEP TESTS:

CLEP tests will be given each Tuesday and Friday afternoon at 1:30. You must pre-register to take the tests. Please contact Eddie Rucker at erucker@bmc.edu regarding registration.

FINANCIAL AID FOR 2014-2015:

Federal Aid - Complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov  

State of Mississippi Financial Aid – Various grant and scholarship opportunities. Application deadlines vary.

Mississippi Baptist Foundation - Application deadline is May 31, 2014 www.msbaptistfoundation.org  

The 2014-2015 General Scholarship Application Form, for all BMC students, is now available online at http://www.bmc.edu/generalscholarshipform.asp.  Priority filing date is April 1, 2014.

REMINDER: Fall 2014 Room Reservations for Residential Housing Students

Reserving a room by Friday, April 11, will
Allow you to keep the current room you have.Potentially provide the opportunity to change to a room you want if available.
After Friday, April 11, until the Friday before graduation (May 9) you will still be able to reserve a room in campus housing. It just may not be the room you reserved. After May 9, you will be placed on a waiting list.

Pay $10 deposit to Business Office, get ID photo made in the office across from Admissions (Paige and Taylor’s office), then come to Office of Student Services to complete the form. Thanks.

2014 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES!

Information concerning the 2014 commencement activities is available for you to pick up in the Office of the Registrar. Each packet of information includes details about commencement tickets, the commencement services, the commencement practice, etc. Please stop by at your earliest convenience to pick up your packet. Packets for candidates for degrees who completed all degree requirements in December, 2013, have been mailed to the candidates’ home addresses.

ONLINE STUDENTS

MARK your calendars when your online courses begin and end, and check your BMC email accounts throughout the summer!!
· Summer I 2014 Online Students:
The Summer I Online Term begins April 28. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on March 31. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on April 28 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.
· Summer II 2014 Online Students:
The Summer II Online Term begins June 23. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on May 23. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on June 23 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.
· Fall I 2014 Online Students:
The Fall I Online Term begins August 25. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on July 28. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on August 25 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

Special Library Hours

The Library will be open for the next four (4) Sunday evenings (April 13, 20, 27, May 4) from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM

SUMMER AND FALL REGISTRATION DEADLINES

Registration deadlines/information for Term I Summer 2014 (including online courses beginning April 28), Term II Summer 2014, and Fall 2014 are posted at www.bmc.edu . Click on the “it’s a blue summer!” link and follow the GPS for Continuing Students.

Note that the registration deadline for students enrolling in Term I online courses which begin April 28, or in a combination of Term I online and on-ground courses (on-ground courses begin May 27) is April 24. The registration deadline for students enrolling only in Term I on-ground courses which begin May 27 is May 22. Tuition, fees, and/or housing charges must be paid or payment arrangements must be made with the Office of Business Affairs by the above published deadlines. Contact the Office of Business Affairs at 662-685-4771, Ext. 133, for payment information. (Tuition and fees for online-only students must be paid in full by registration deadline.)

Residential students who have not received clearance to register by the Office of Business Affairs by May 22 should not plan to move into campus housing until clearance has been granted. Residential halls will not open until 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27. A $100 late registration fee will be assessed if fees are not paid or arrangements are not made with the Office of Business Affairs by the published deadlines. Continuing students will not be required to submit registration forms for the summer unless address changes or changes in vehicle registration need to be reported.
