A January Bible Study Preview Clinic will be held on the Blue Mountain College campus on Tuesday, September 5, and the following classes which normally meet in Fisher/Washburn, Room 108, will be relocated on that day:

TEACHER INTERNS

If you plan to enroll as teacher intern (student teacher) during the spring 2018 semester, please fill out an application available in the Education Office beginning Monday, August 28. Applications will be available through Friday, September 8. A mandatory Orientation Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at 3:30 in Room 108 of the Education Building.

BUSINESS OFFICE

Students may make payments on their accounts in the Business Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., make online payments at www.bmc.edu/Pay Tuition and Fees or call 662.685.4771 Ext. 133.

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, a $50 fine will be automatically assessed to the student’s account and a letter will be automatically sent to the student’s BMC email account informing them of the fine. The absence will not be cleared until the fine is paid in the Business Office. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. However, students currently with holds on their accounts due to Chapel absences should follow the procedures for clearing these absences which were in force when the absence occurred. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement. Diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

FINANCIAL AID ANNOUNCEMENTS

The 2017-18 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available now. If you plan on being enrolled beginning August 2017, you must complete a FAFSA. https://fafsa.ed.gov/

Mississippi Residents - apply for State of Mississippi Financial Aid programs! http://riseupms.com/

The Office of Financial Aid has been notified that the Data Retrieval Tool on the FAFSA is not operable at this time. A FAFSA can still be filled out but you will have to manually enter your income tax information into the FAFSA from the 2015 Income Tax Return.

PARKING TICKETS Parking Tickets are $25 for each violation.

All vehicles on campus should have a parking decal affixed to the left rear glass. Tickets will be issued to vehicles without a parking decal and tickets issued for violations will be charged to the students’ accounts.
Security guards will issue Parking Tickets for all Parking Violations – No Parking Decal on your vehicle; Parking in a Reserved Space (including Faculty/Staff, Handicapped, Visitor, etc.); Parking on the grass; Parking outside parking space lines; Obstructing a building entrance, loading zone, or the flow of traffic; Parking in a NO Parking zone.

WELLNESS CENTER INFORMATION

Wellness Center Hours:
Monday through Saturday open 5 AM to 11 PM
Sunday open 2 PM to 5 PM

Wellness Center Policy:
All BMC Faculty and Staff now have the benefit of their spouse and children (living at home, older than 14) being able to use the Wellness Center for free. All they will need to do is fill out the paperwork and pay a $10 card fee.

The Wellness Center is striving to promote a culture of WELLNESS on our Blue Mountain College campus and in our community, and to make healthy fitness choices more available to our BMC family and community.
