ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR CLASS SCHEDULING FOR SPRING 2017 SEMESTER
Faculty advisors will be enrolling current Blue Mountain College students in spring 2017 classes as follows: Seniors – week of October 17 Juniors – week of October 24 Sophomores - week of October 31 Freshmen – week of November 7
Students are asked to follow instructions listed below:
1. Each degree-seeking student must meet with his/her advisor to obtain approval of his/her spring 2017 class schedule. Advisors will then enroll the student in his/her spring courses. Non-degree students will enroll in classes through the Office of the Registrar.
2. Each class (seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen) will be expected to complete the enrollment process for the spring semester within a week's time. Space is limited in some classes so it is imperative that each class pre-register within the deadline given.
If you have questions concerning the enrollment process, please contact the Office of the Registrar. Registration for the spring semester is not complete until each student has obtained clearance from the Business Office. An announcement will be made in the near future when the deadlines are set. (Watch the Blue Mountain College Web Site for specific details concerning registration deadlines.) Students who complete registration by the announced registration deadline will be eligible to receive a $100 bill.
Note: The spring class schedule should be available by the week of October 17.
Applications are now being received in consideration for the position of Resident Assistant in charge of the Topper Lodge Men’s Residence Facility to begin January, 2017. Applications for the position can be picked up in the Office of Business Affairs during regular office hours. Completed applications need to be submitted to the Office of Student Services no later than close of business hours November 9, 2016.
All vehicles on campus should have a parking decal affixed to the left rear glass. Tickets will be issued to vehicles without a parking decal and tickets issued for violations will be charged to the students’ accounts. Security guards are now issuing Parking Tickets for all Parking Violations – No Parking Decal on your vehicle; Parking in a Reserved Space (including Faculty/Staff, Handicapped, Visitor, etc.); Parking on the grass; Parking outside parking space lines; Obstructing a building entrance, loading zone, or the flow of traffic; Parking in a NO Parking zone. Tickets are $25 for each violation.

If you have accepted a federal loan you must complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov before your loan may be applied to your student account or disbursed.
CLOSURES DURING CHAPEL
Please be aware that Garrett and Fisher/Washburn buildings will be locked from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays during chapel. All exterior doors to the Administration Building will be locked at 10:00 a.m. except the front door. A security officer will be positioned at the front door after 10:00 a.m. to check your College ID card and allow you to enter. Please have your ID card visible or readily available. Guests will be directed to the SUB until 10:30 unless accompanied by a member of the BMC family. We thank you for cooperating with our efforts to keep the BMC campus as safe as possible.

WELLNESS CENTER INFORMATION
Wellness Center Hours: Monday through Saturday open 5 AM to 11 PM Sunday open 2 PM to 5 PM
Wellness Center Policy: All BMC Faculty and Staff now have the benefit of their spouse and children (living at home, older than 14) being able to use the Wellness Center for free. All they will need to do is fill out the paperwork and pay a $10 card fee.
The Wellness Center is striving to promote a culture of WELLNESS on our Blue Mountain College campus and in our community, and to make healthy fitness choices more available to our BMC family and community.
Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared.
Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement. Diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.
October 26th campus-wide prayer will be hosted by BSU 7:30-8AM in auditorium for the election, revival, and the GROW BMC initiative. Wednesdays through Nov. 2nd.
October 27th- Wear your favorite costume to the women’s JV basketball game for a costume contest at halftime. Do not wear a mask. We will have a few games set up outside before it starts.
