GRADUATE SCHOOL AND SEMINARY FAIR

Attention all BMC students!!
Come to the Graduate School and Seminary Fair on Tuesday, October 20, from 11am to 2 pm in the Paschal Student Union (SUB). Representatives from the following schools plan to attend:
      Belhaven University
      Blue Mountain College – Education Department
      Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary
      New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
      Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
      Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
      Union University – School of Business

      *A recruiter from the Marine Corps Reserve will also attend.
All students are encouraged to attend this event. If you have any questions, contact csmith@bmc.edu. It’s never too early to start thinking about your future. This is a great way to learn more about graduate programs and to make connections with admissions counselors. Please make plans to come to this event!

BMC AMBASSADORS

Any student interested in becoming a BMC Ambassador, listen up!
BMC Ambassadors are a service organization that provides students with the opportunity to become more involved on campus and represent BMC to prospective students and alumni.

Requirements: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with at least one semester completed at BMC
                           Time commitment of 3-6 hours a month
                           Love for BMC

If you need more information or would like to take part, please contact Annabeth Barnes at
abarnes@bmc.edu or come by her office in the lower level of the SUB. Thanks!

BSU ANNOUNCEMENTS

Fall Retreat October 16-17 with Michael and Christy Pritchard. Sign up at the BSU. Cost $15.
Join us for Noonday Monday’s 1-1:25 PM and Thursday’s 12:35-1PM
Prayer Time Monday’s at 2:30 PM with Jacob Riley at the BSU.
Visit the nursing home with Brandon and Alex Webber Monday’s at 3PM. Meet downstairs at the BSU.
If you are looking for a ministry opportunity, check the BSU job board. We have several new positions posted.
Sign up for Mission Arlington at the BSU, and fill out your application on the BSU website. Interviews will be October 22. Cost $160. The trip dates are December 11-18.
Volunteers needed!
New Prospect Baptist Church in Hamilton needs about 10 students to help lead a lock-in for 6-8th graders Friday, October 23 after the football game until 7AM Saturday morning.
See Mrs. Tracy if you are interested in volunteering.

PARKING TICKETS

   All vehicles on campus should have a parking decal affixed to the left rear glass. Tickets will be issued to vehicles without a parking decal and tickets issued for violations will be charged to the students’ accounts. Tickets are $25 for each violation.

ONLINE STUDENTS

Fall II 2015 Online Students:
   The Fall II Online Term begins October 19. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on September 21. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on October 19 to those students who have made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

TEACHING & LEARNING CENTER (TLC) NEW HOURS

WELLNESS CENTER HOURS

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM

      MA: All new members need to complete the MA enrollment procedure as soon as possible, including information forms, reference forms, and an interview.

      TAK: All current members and those who will be invited to join this Religious Studies honor society will want to be sure to reserve our one meeting time and date: 22 Oct 15, 3:30, FW206.

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement. Diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

*****ATTENTION 2016 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES!

All students who expect to complete degree requirements by December 2015, May 2016, or August 2016 must submit an application for degree to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, September 18. Information concerning commencement and the application for degree process as well as the application form are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the ACADEMICS tab and then the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR tab. Scroll down the page and click on the Application for Degree link. Carefully read the information items and then complete and submit the Application for Degree. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have questions concerning the application for degree process.
