RELOCATION OF CLASSES FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2014

Future Educators of America, Region I, will be holding their fall leadership conference on the Blue Mountain College on Tuesday, October 14. Classes which normally meet in the Education Building, Rooms 108, 110, 114, and 117, will be relocated that day. Also a couple of other classes are being relocated to accommodate the guests on campus. Please note the following classroom changes for October 14:

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE REGISTRAR

ATTENTION 2015 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES! All students who expect to complete degree requirements by December 2014, May 2015, or August 2015 must submit an application for degree to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, November 21. Information concerning commencement and the application for degree process as well as the application form are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the ACADEMICS tab and then the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR tab. Scroll down the page and click on the Application for Degree link. Carefully read the information items and then complete and submit the Application for Degree. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have questions concerning the application for degree process.

Ministerial Association

The Ministerial Association will have their regular Wednesday noon meetings at 12:30 PM in Lowrey Fellowship Hall. We will be looking to see you there!

Make Up Day for Class Pictures

The photographer will be back on campus to take yearbook pictures of students, faculty and staff. If you did not have your individual class picture made when he was here in September, make plans to drop by and have it taken. Thursday, October 16th; 10:30a – 2:00 p.

OFFICE OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS

All charges for room and board, tuition and fees of every kind must be paid in full to the Office of Business Affairs before the student’s official transcript can be released or a diploma can be awarded. Grades will not be accessible until satisfactory arrangements have been made in the Office of Business Affairs. Thank you in advance for your payment.

WELLNESS CENTER HOURS

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Wednesday – 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday – 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared. Transcripts and diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement.

ONLINE STUDENTS

MARK your calendars when your online courses begin and end, and check your BMC email accounts regularly!
· Fall II 2014 Online Students:
The Fall II Online Term begins October 20. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information were emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on September 15. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on October 20 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

CAMPUS SWIMMING POOL

The Swimming Pool is CLOSED for the winter.

STUDENT PARKING

Students may park in the parking lot of Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church and on the south side of the Paschal Student Union Building (SUB). There are available parking spaces in these areas almost every day.

Harvest Festival – Thursday, October 30 from 6:30-8:00 PM in the SUB. Wear your favorite costume.
Prayer Time-Monday’s 2:20PM at the BSU with Jessie Kellum
Community Missions- Visit the Nursing Home with Andrew Higdon. Thursday’s 2:30. Meet in the SUB.
BSU T-shirts are $10 at the BSU.
Applications are available on the BSU website now for the Mission Arlington trip December 12-18. Cost is $160. Interviews will be scheduled as applications come in.
