ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE REGISTRAR

ATTENTION 2015 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES! All students who expect to complete degree requirements by December 2014, May 2015, or August 2015 must submit an application for degree to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, November 21. Information concerning commencement and the application for degree process as well as the application form are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the ACADEMICS tab and then the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR tab. Scroll down the page and click on the Application for Degree link. Carefully read the information items and then complete and submit the Application for Degree. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have questions concerning the application for degree process.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE REGISTRAR

RELOCATION OF CLASSES FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2014. The Blue Mountain College Board of Trustees will be meeting on the campus on Friday, October 3. The following classes which normally meet in Fisher/Washburn, Room 216, will be relocated on Friday, October 3:

The Ministerial Association will have their regular Wednesday noon meetings at 12:30 PM in Lowrey Fellowship Hall. We will be looking to see you there!

Please remember to send thank you letters to your scholarship donors and forward a copy of each letter to the Office of Institutional Advancement. Deadline by September 30. If you need assistance with writing your thank you letter, please see Mrs. Anna Quinn in the CAL.

OFFICE OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS

All charges for room and board, tuition and fees of every kind must be paid in full to the Office of Business Affairs before the student’s official transcript can be released or a diploma can be awarded. Grades will not be accessible until satisfactory arrangements have been made in the Office of Business Affairs. Thank you in advance for your payment.

WELLNESS CENTER HOURS

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Wednesday – 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday – 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared. Transcripts and diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement.

ONLINE STUDENTS

MARK your calendars when your online courses begin and end, and check your BMC email accounts regularly!
· Fall II 2014 Online Students:
The Fall II Online Term begins October 20. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information were emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on September 15. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on October 20 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

Want to raise funds for your organization, society, club or yourself? Then consider having a booth at Topper Fest on November 8, 2014. STUDENT PARKING

Students may park in the parking lot of Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church and on the south side of the Paschal Student Union Building (SUB). There are available parking spaces in these areas almost every day.

Northeast Mississippi Pastor’s Conference
Proclaiming the Good News (Acts 5:42)
September 15, 2014
Blue Mountain College

Blue Mountain College, in association with the Northeast Mississippi Pastor’s Conference, will host a one-day conference for pastors and church staff members on Monday, September 15, 2014. The conference, entitled “Proclaiming the Good News,” has been designed to provide inspiration and instruction for pastors and church staff members. The worship services will include messages by Dr. Brian Harbour, Founder of SeminaryPLUS and Brian’s Lines, and Dr. Tommy Vinson, Founder of Tommy Vinson Ministries. Dr. Greg Long, Chair of the Department of Fine Arts and Speech, will lead the worship services. Special conferences related to pastoral ministry will include the following:
· “Preparing to Preach: Getting Ready to Proclaim the Good News” led by Brian Harbour
· “The Pastor as Evangelist: Leading the Church to Share the Good News” led by Ray Newcomb, Pastor Emeritus, First Baptist Church, Millington, TN
· “Engaging Your Hearers: The Use of Creativity and Humor in Preaching” led by James Lewis, Pastor, Desoto Hills Baptist Church, Southaven, MS
Registration for the conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Union Building and the conference will conclude at 2:45 p.m. Lunch will be provided for a cost of $5.50 in the newly redesigned Ray Dining Hall. While pre-registration for the conference is not required, it is requested in order to provide an accurate count for meals and free conference materials. To pre-register or to request additional information, contact Dr. Ronald Meeks, Director of Church Relations at Blue Mountain College.

Attention: Teacher Interns Spring 2015
