PARKING TICKETS

Starting MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, Security will be issuing Parking Tickets for all Parking Violations – No Parking Decal on your vehicle; Parking in a Reserved Space (including Faculty/Staff, Handicapped, Visitor, etc.); Parking on the grass; Parking outside parking space lines; Obstructing a building entrance, loading zone, or the flow of traffic; Parking in a NO Parking zone. Tickets are $25 for each violation.

2017 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES!

All students who expect to complete degree requirements by December 2016, May 2017, or August 2017 must submit an application for degree to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, September 23. Information concerning commencement and the application for degree process as well as the application form are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the ACADEMICS tab and then the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR tab. Scroll down the page and click on the Application for Degree link. Carefully read the information items and then complete and submit the Application for Degree. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have questions concerning the application for degree process.

Commuter students can pick up their Parking Decals in the Office of Student Services.

Please be aware that Garrett and Fisher/Washburn buildings will be locked from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays during chapel. All exterior doors to the Administration Building will be locked at 10:00 a.m. except the front door. A security officer will be positioned at the front door after 10:00 a.m. to check your College ID card and allow you to enter. Please have your ID card visible or readily available. Guests will be directed to the SUB until 10:30 unless accompanied by a member of the BMC family. We thank you for cooperating with our efforts to keep the BMC campus as safe as possible.

FINANCIAL AID ANNOUNCEMENTS

Financial Aid is now being posted. Please check your email for information on accepting and declining your aid or reducing your loan amount. Login to your BMC Space to view your financial aid.

If you have accepted a federal loan you must complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov before your loan may be applied to your student account or disbursed.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATES

Wellness Center Hours:
Monday through Saturday open 5 AM to 11 PM
Sunday open 2 PM to 5 PM

Wellness Center Policy:
All BMC Faculty and Staff now have the benefit of their spouse and children (living at home, older than 14) being able to use the Wellness Center for free. All they will need to do is fill out the paperwork and pay a $10 card fee.

The Wellness Center is striving to promote a culture of WELLNESS on our Blue Mountain College campus and in our community, and to make healthy fitness choices more available to our BMC family and community.

PARKING TICKETS

All vehicles on campus should have a parking decal affixed to the left rear glass. Tickets will be issued to vehicles without a parking decal and tickets issued for violations will be charged to the students’ accounts. Tickets are $25 for each violation.

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement. Diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

PROSPECTIVE TEACHER INTERNS, SPRING 2017

If you plan to enroll in Teacher Internship during the spring 2017 semester, please fill out an application available in the Education Office on Monday August 29 – Friday, September 9. There will be a mandatory orientation on Wednesday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Education Building, Room 117.
