COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE

There will be a Community Thanksgiving Service for Blue Mountain and surrounding areas at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 23rd in the MLB Auditorium on campus. There will be two area ministers speaking as well as Dr. McMillin. The Gifted Class at Blue Mountain School will present special music. Everyone is welcome to attend the service. It will last approximately 1 hour.

OFFICE OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS

All charges for room and board, tuition and fees of every kind must be paid in full to the Office of Business Affairs by December 1, 2014 before your official transcript can be released or a diploma can be awarded. Grades will not be accessible until satisfactory arrangements have been made with the Office of Business Affairs. Thank you in advance for your payment.

SPRING REGISTRATION DEADLINES

Registration deadlines/information for Spring 2015 are posted at www.bmc.edu . Click on the “Register Now for Spring 2015” link and follow the GPS for Continuing Students.

Note that the registration deadline for students enrolling in Term I online courses which begin January 5, 2015, or in a combination of Term I online and on-ground courses (on-ground courses begin January 13, 2015) is December 18, 2014. The registration deadline for students enrolling only in on-ground courses which begin January 13, 2015, is January 8, 2015. Continuing students will not be required to submit any registration forms unless changes to address or vehicle registration need to be made. Tuition, fees, and/or housing charges must be paid or payment arrangements must be made with the Office of Business Affairs by the above published deadlines. Contact the Office of Business Affairs at 662-685-4771, Ext. 133, for payment information.

(Tuition and fees for online-only students must be paid in full by registration deadline.)

Residential students
who have not received clearance to register by the Office of Business Affairs by January 8, 2015, should not plan to move into campus housing until clearance has been granted. Residential halls will not open until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015. A $200 late registration fee will be assessed if fees are not paid or arrangements are not made with the Office of Business Affairs by the published deadlines. Students can confirm that all registration steps are complete by viewing document tracking on their student portal at www.bmcspace.com .

The Spring I 2015 Online Term begins January 5. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information were emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on November 17. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on January 5 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs. Please realize this term begins before campus classes begin! Check your BMC email accounts over the Holidays!!!

·Spring II 2015 Online Students:
The Spring II 2015 Online Term begins March 2. Training, Ordering Text, and Browser settings information will be emailed to preregistered online students' BMC email accounts on February 2. Login instructions will be emailed to BMC email accounts on March 2 to those students who made payment arrangements with the Office of Business Affairs.

STUDENT TIME CARDS

Student time cards for DECEMBER 2014 are due in the Office of Financial Aid by Wednesday, December 10, 2014 by 1:00 pm. Student payroll will be distributed as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Koinonia Meeting

Koinonia will have their regular Wednesday noon meetings at 12:30 PM in Broach BSU.

CHAPEL ABSENCES

Students are allowed six (6) chapel absences each semester. These six allowed absences will not be used in determining the chapel grade. For each chapel absence over the six (6) allowed, the student must make up the absence in order to have the absence cleared. Holds will be placed on the student’s account until the excessive chapel absences are cleared. Transcripts and diplomas will not be awarded until the chapel absences are cleared.

Students should complete the requirements for clearing the excessive chapel absence during the semester in which the absence occurs. Satisfactory chapel attendance is a graduation requirement.

BSU ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Spring Break in San Francisco
mission trip is March 7-13. The last day to apply is January 19th Cost is $1000 ($500 is due February 2, and $500 is due February 27.) Interviews will be scheduled as applications come in. (The BSU website can be found under the current students’ column of the BMC website.)

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE REGISTRAR

ATTENTION 2015 CANDIDATES FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES! All students who expect to complete degree requirements by December 2014, May 2015, or August 2015 must submit an application for degree to the Office of the Registrar by Friday, November 21. Information concerning commencement and the application for degree process as well as the application form are posted at www.bmc.edu. Click on the ACADEMICS tab and then the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR tab. Scroll down the page and click on the Application for Degree link. Carefully read the information items and then complete and submit the Application for Degree. Contact the Office of the Registrar if you have questions concerning the application for degree process.

Ministerial Association

The Ministerial Association will have their regular Wednesday noon meetings at 12:30 PM in Lowrey Fellowship Hall. We will be looking to see you there!

REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2015 SEMESTER

Faculty advisors will be enrolling current Blue Mountain College students in spring 2015 classes as follows: 
      Seniors – week of October 20
      Juniors – week of October 27
      Sophomores - week of November 3
      Freshmen – week of November 10
Students are asked to follow instructions listed below:
1. Each degree-seeking student must meet with his/her advisor to obtain approval of his/her spring 2015 class schedule. Advisors will then enroll the student in his/her spring courses. Non-degree students will enroll in classes through the Office of the Registrar.
2. Each class (seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen) will be expected to complete the enrollment process for the spring semester within a week's time. Space is limited in some classes so it is imperative that each class pre-register within the deadline given.
If you have questions concerning the enrollment process, please contact the Office of the Registrar. Registration for the spring semester is not complete until each student has obtained clearance from the Office of Business Affairs. An announcement will be made in the near future when the deadlines are set. (Watch the Blue Mountain College Web Site for specific details concerning registration deadlines.) Students who complete registration after the announced registration period will be assessed a late registration fee.
Note: The spring class schedule should be available by the early part of the week of October 20.
