On this the second Monday in October we observe Columbus Day, a day set aside to mark the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas. Columbus embarked on a great life-changing and world-changing adventure when he “sailed the ocean blue” in 1492. It is fitting that on this day that we will welcome a number of prospective students to our campus, all preparing to set out on a new life-changing adventures of their own. Please join me in welcoming Nelson, Frankie, Autumn, Kelsey, Blakney, Dane, Mallory, Samantha, Carson, Kayla, Madison, D.J., John, and Katelyn to the Hill. Our prayers are with them as they seek to know where God will take them on the next step of their important journey.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Sound of Music! Larry and I attended the Friday night performance and enjoyed a Broadway-worthy production right here at BMC. Thank you, professors Andre and Kantack, for bringing this performance to our stage.
Many thanks again to our dedicated Board of Trustees for the very productive meeting on Friday. We are blessed by your leadership.
Please pray for me as I will be traveling this evening to speak at the Monroe associational meeting at Cason Baptist Church in Amory.
May you and your family be blessed by the beauty of autumn as we enjoy Fall Break this coming Thursday and Friday.
