Beloved BMC Students
Greetings—and Welcome Back!

Today we celebrate the much-anticipated arrival of our beloved BMC students. We welcome our returning students, our new freshmen, and our transfer students to the campus of Blue Mountain College. Our faculty are ready to impart knowledge and to facilitate significant learning experiences. Our staff are ready to answer questions and “take care of business.” Our residence halls and houses are ready to become home away from home. Our campus is ready—for the 141st time—to resonate with the energy and enthusiasm of students entering to grow in wisdom so that they are prepared for the day when they will depart to serve. What an exciting time! We pray that God’s favor will rest upon us as we begin the 2013-14 academic year on the Hill.

Today, of course, is move-in day for residential students. Lunch will be served in the dining hall from 11 until 1:30. Cost for guests is $3.25.

Many parents and grandparents are with us today to help their student settle in. I look forward to meeting the parents of freshmen at 3:00 in the gym. The freshmen commitment service will take place at 3:30, also in the gym. If your schedule permits, please join us for this special time of prayer for these students and their families.

Students, don’t miss the SBA Back-to-School party at 6:30 tonight in the Paschal Student Union. Check your orientation information for other events you won’t want to miss throughout the week, including the movie on the green Friday evening.

Classes begin on Wednesday!

Students will assemble for chapel on Wednesday, and then the entire BMC family will gather for a welcome and the reading of the 121st Psalm at 10 on Friday.

Best wishes to all for a fabulous start to Fall 2013.
