Good Morning, I hope that each of you enjoyed a delightful first weekend of fall. It is hard to believe that we are now just days away from our fall revival followed closely by fall break. Join me in continuing to pray for our nation, for our campus, and for our evangelist Phil Waldrep as he prepares to share the Gospel October 9-11. Let us anticipate together the amazing things that only God can do!
As a reminder, we want everyone to be able to attend as many of the revival services as possible. Please arrange your schedule so as to prioritize attendance.
As always, the first Friday in October brings to our campus our Board of Trustees. We are blessed with an engaged, dedicated group of men and women who serve with joy and lead with wisdom. Prior to their meeting on Friday morning, they will gather at Lowrey Memorial at 8:00 for their quarterly time of prayer for Blue Mountain College. Everyone is invited to participate if your schedule allows. I know that our Trustees would be encouraged to be joined by students, faculty, staff, and alumni to circle our campus in prayer. Dr. Tim Mims will be leading the devotional and giving direction to the prayer session.
I will be giving an overview of the Board agenda at a meeting for faculty and staff at 3:00 in the MLB auditorium on Wednesday.
Today and tomorrow I will be representing BMC at the annual Mississippi Association of Colleges meeting at MSU.
I close by offering a word of thanks to James and Linda Johnson for opening their home to us last week for a well-attended gathering of friends interested in promoting and celebrating the fine arts at BMC. We are grateful to the Johnsons, to all who attended, and to Drew Warford, William Thompson, and Laura Long for sharing their musical talents with us. On another fine arts note, I had the privilege of attending a rehearsal of our drama team's first performance. Great job, Impact!
Have a blessed and productive week!
