A busy week awaits
Good Morning,
I hope everyone enjoyed a spectacular Thanksgiving with ample time to count your blessings as you spent time with family and friends. The fall décor at Armstrong has been packed away for another year and the Christmas decorations (for the most part) are in place awaiting a week of special holiday activities. Larry, Sam, and I look forward to greeting you at the annual Armstrong open house on Friday from 4:30 until 6:30. After stopping by Armstrong, please make plans to attend this year’s Lessons and Carols service at 7:00 in the Modena Lowrey Berry auditorium. Featuring our chorale, hand bell choir, and band, this beautiful service sets a worshipful tone for the advent season.

On Saturday we will celebrate Topper Homecoming and Topper Fest. A host of vendors will have their wares on sale in the SUB from 9:00 until 2:00. This is a great opportunity to cross a number of items off of your gift shopping list. The homecoming court will be presented at 12:30 in the MLB, followed by varsity basketball action against Bethel at 2:00 and 4:00. Come cheer on the Toppers!

Today we welcome special guest Dr. Jim Futral as our chapel speaker; on Friday the Chorale will present their Christmas concert at 10:00.

Tomorrow is an exceptionally busy and special day on campus. A team from McCarty architectural firm, along with a number of our trustees and special friends, will be at BMC to participate in a campus master planning workshop. Workshop participants will spend the day casting a vision for future facilities on our campus, including new residential space and our much-desired math/science facility. Please join me in praying for God’s guidance and blessing on this group of individuals as we seek to GROW BMC in ways that bring Him honor and glory.

As you have probably heard, tomorrow is also Giving Day, a time set aside to refocus our attention on the joy of giving. This day affords a great opportunity to demonstrate your support for Blue Mountain College. A gift of any size makes you a partner in our mission to provide students with a Christ-centered academic experience. Follow us on Facebook all day tomorrow for games, prizes, testimonials, and updates. By “liking” and “sharing” you are helping to tell the BMC story. Thank you in advance for giving and participating. Let’s make that $50,000 goal happen! #growbmcgivingday

On Thursday evening at 9:30 the SBA will host the annual student Christmas party in the SUB. Activities will include my reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. This is one of my favorite events of the holiday. I hope to see you there!

There’s no shortage of home basketball action this week, with a host of varsity and junior varsity games each day except Wednesday. Check out our athletic website for details.

A busy week awaits—have a good one!
