Good Morning! I hope that each of you enjoyed a restful and pleasant fall break. We are thankful for the much-needed rain that fell on the Hill on Friday and also for the abundant sunshine that followed over the weekend.
We begin this week on a sad note as we reflect on the passing of Mrs. Faye Sanders on October 13. A woman of wisdom, vision, and faith, Mrs. Faye touched my life through her intercessory prayers for me, for my family, and for the work and future of Blue Mountain College. She ran this race of life with endurance, eyes focused on Jesus, and was no doubt greeted in her eternal home with the words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!” Please continue to lift the Sanders family up in prayer.
Keep me in your prayers this week as I have several opportunities to share the GROW BMC story of God’s blessings on BMC. I’ll be sharing at the Union County Associational meeting at First Baptist, New Albany, tomorrow night and at the Pontotoc Associational meeting on Thursday morning.
Set your alarm early on Wednesday so you can participate in the campus-wide prayer time in the MLB auditorium at 7:30. We will be led by members of the SBA.
On Friday we will host special guests on our campus as the members of the Education Commission of the Mississippi Baptist Convention will convene their fall meeting here at BMC.
Our golf team is in action today and tomorrow in Jackson, Tennessee, at the Union invitational tournament. The men’s JV basketball teams are on the road on Tuesday and Thursday, and the bowlers will take to the lanes in Savannah on Saturday.
I extend to each of you a special invitation to participate this coming Sunday evening in a joint worship service here on campus beginning at 6:00 in the Modena Lowrey Berry auditorium. Our BMC Chorale will join the choirs from First Baptist Ripley, First Baptist New Albany, Hillcrest, and West Jackson Street, Tupelo to lead us in song and in praise.
In closing, I share with you this pic of the progress at the Sportsplex. Looking good!

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen. II Peter 3:18
