The Big Day has finally arrived!
Good Morning,
We have talked about April 12, 2016 for such a long time; it is hard to believe that the big day has finally arrived! Preparing for an event of this magnitude has required a significant team effort. Allow me to acknowledge the work of the planning committee: Linda Gholston, Linda Johnson, Ty Robinson, Emma Ainsworth, Becky Benson, Nancy Grisham, and Jody Hill. They have worked tirelessly to plan the intricate details of a complex endeavor. They have been supported in their efforts by Amy Thurmond, Stan Irwin, Tommy Peters, Andrew Higdon, Brad Hill, Pam and Jerry Bowman, Nancy McDonald, Delise Teague, Joyce Peters, Sheila Freeman, Sharon Enzor, David Harrell, Kevin Barefield, Sharon and Leon Enzor, Jack and Tracy Moser, Sue Jarvis, Rita Newby, Anna Quinn, Greg and Laura Long, Lynn Gibson, Kayce Bragg, Annabeth Barnes, Liz Thurmond, and a host of students, including student leaders, golfers, cheerleaders, and the chorale.

The program begins this evening at 7:30 at the BancorpSouth arena in Tupelo and will feature a video presentation on BMC, a performance by our Chorale, and an address by our special guest Tim Tebow. Tickets are still available! Please join me in praying for God’s blessing on this event, for safe travels for all involved, and for God to receive glory for all that transpires. Doors open at 6:30.

On Thursday at 5:30 in the SUB, Dr. Leora Duce will present a lecture and slide show on her many travels to the Holy Land. We are honored to have Dr. Duce back on campus and hope that you can join her for what will surely be an informative and enjoyable event.

The Topper softball team is on the road this week; baseball action takes place at home on Friday and Saturday. The SSAC golf tournament is Friday and Saturday also. Go, Toppers!

I will be traveling this Friday to Hattiesburg for the final Education Commission meeting of this academic year.

I will miss being with our Nashville area alums on Saturday but hope there will be a good turnout for lunch at Cheddars at 11:15.

Have a great week!

Barbara C. McMillin

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
