Leap Year Day
Greetings to all on a beautiful Monday morning!

Frequently we find ourselves lamenting the fact that we lack the extra time that we need to fulfill our good intentions. We say that if we just had a few more minutes . . . . Well, today, February 29, we have a few more minutes! Let’s claim this leap year day as a time to do something that we’ve been putting off. I’ve already checked one such item off my list today, and it feels great!
Today is also a good day to decide when you will be attending this week’s performance of The Taffetas. The show opens tomorrow night with additional performances Thursday through Saturday. Please come out and support our students who have worked so diligently to prepare for what will surely be a delightful show.
I am thrilled to announce today that several of our students were big winners this weekend at the NATS competition at Ole Miss. Jordan Noble received first in her division, Drew Warford received first in his division, and William Thompson earned second. We are so proud of these BMC winners!
Our Lady Toppers will take on Martin Methodist at 4:00 on Thursday in the SSAC conference tournament in Montgomery, Alabama. Look for opportunities this week to encourage the team, Coach Driskell, and Coach Moser as they represent BMC in the SSAC.
Our baseball Toppers continue to show their strength on the diamond as they advance to 12-4; they will be on the road this week at Freed and at the University of Mobile. Softball action includes a double header tomorrow at BNA before the team heads to Foley to take on Lindsey Wilson and then on to the Gulf Coast Invitational.
Special guests on campus this week include the members of our Palmer-Donnell house committee and the members of our Alumni Association Board. We are grateful for these individuals and for their devotion to their alma mater.
I am especially thankful today for the outstanding meeting last Friday of our BMC Board of Trustees. The GROW BMC concept was approved, and the members of the Executive Committee and the Finance and Administration committee will meet tomorrow to address the specifics for moving the plan forward. Please continue to pray for these dedicated leaders as they launch this strategic vision for the growth of Blue Mountain College. I will be sharing details of the plan soon. Soli Deo Gloria!
I look forward to being with Dr. David Hamilton and the congregation of West Heights Baptist Church next Sunday night.

Grace and peace,
Dr. Mc

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
