Happy Presidentís Day
Good Morning!
Happy President’s Day and belated Valentine wishes to each of you! I hope that you had ample opportunities to express your love for all the special folks in your life and that you took the opportunity to reflect upon the magnitude of God’s love for you.

Today is Preview Day; we are delighted to welcome a large group of prospective students to BMC. Please join me in greeting these students and their families and in encouraging them to become a part of the Topper family.

Our chapel speaker today is Matt Brown. On Friday our BSU Fine Arts team will lead us in worship.

All in-season sports teams are on the road this week; keep all of our Topper teams in your prayers as they travel.

On Friday members of the Executive Committee of our Board of Trustees will be on campus to prepare for the full Board meeting on February 26. Please greet Chair Linda Gholston, Mary Childs, Randy Bostick, and Tommy Tapp and thank them for their service to BMC.

Emma Ainsworth, Jody Hill, and I will be traveling to Jackson on Thursday to meet with several of our state legislators. I will also have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion at the WHEMN in leadership conference Thursday afternoon.

One of our students, Sierra Lesure, was hospitalized this weekend with a blood clot. Please keep Sierra in your prayers. I encourage you as well to pray for the Ole Miss community as they are mourning the loss of volleyball player Ty Laporte, who was killed in a car accident over the weekend.

I close by sharing the bittersweet news that two of our beloved faculty members have announced their retirements at the end of the 2015-16 academic year. Mr. Bill Dowdy, associate professor of art, began his career at BMC in 1976. Mr. Jim Andre, associate professor of speech and theatre, began his service at BMC in 1980, served until 1988, and then returned in 1999. We will pay tribute to these two outstanding members of the Department of Fine Arts and Speech during our end-of-year festivities.

Tebow tickets are still available. Check the website for more information.

Have a blessed week!

Dr. Mc

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
