The busyness of the week before Thanksgiving break defines our campus today as students and faculty focus on completing the assignments and grading that must occur before all depart to spend time with family around the holiday table. I pray that each of you will experience a productive week so that next week you will indeed have an opportunity to enjoy some time to relax with your loved ones. Yesterday in faculty/staff meeting, Dr. Bullard challenged us to consider what we would have today if we only had what were thankful for yesterday. Let us take to heart this insight into the importance of giving thanks, and let us be mindful of the many ways in which God blesses us at Blue Mountain College.
I am delighted today to issue a special word of congratulations to Drew Warford and William Thompson for earning first and second place recognition in the sophomore class category at last weekend’s regional National Association of Teachers of Singing regional conference. This conference includes participants from institutions of all sizes, so this recognition is especially meaningful. Way to go, Drew and William!
Our basketball Toppers will be on the road later this week for games in Georgia on Thursday and Saturday. Our baseball Toppers will play their Blue/Gold series today at 4:00 at Ripley High School.
On Thursday evening Richard Yarber will present his senior worship project at 7:00 in the auditorium.
Nancy McDonald, Jody Hill, Ryan Dewberry, and Kayla Maddux will accompany me on Friday to Starkville for an area-wide Hilltop Happening. We hope to see lots of BMC folks for this special event at 10:00 at Meadowview Baptist Church.
Travel safely and enjoy the Thanksgiving break!
Pray for Paris!
