I hope that everyone enjoyed a restful weekend. Perhaps cloud cover in your locale did not prevent you from observing last night’s “super moon” and lunar eclipse. If you missed it, as I did, you’ll have another chance in 2033!
Today in chapel we will hear from Dr. James Noble, and on Friday Dr. John Boler will bring our chapel address. On Thursday evening you can enjoy a spaghetti supper at the BSU; check with Tracy Moser about tickets. This is a great way to support our mission teams. On Friday we will welcome our Board of Trustees to campus for their fall meeting. Please join me in greeting them and thanking them for their service to Blue Mountain College.
Congratulations to our Lady Toppers for winning three games at this weekend’s fall softball bash at Belhaven. Kudos as well to our cross country teams for a good showing at the Rhodes Invitational. The cross country teams will travel to Delta State this weekend for their next competition. Our golfers are in Batesville, Arkansas, today and tomorrow for the Lyon Invitational. Go, Toppers!
Look for opportunities today to pursue academic excellence, to practice intellectual integrity, to promote civility, and to develop Christian character. Have a blessed week!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
