I hope that the long holiday weekend afforded you with all the opportunities that accompany the Labor Day weekend: hamburgers, watermelon, homemade ice cream, the return of football, and time to relax with family and friends. With Labor Day behind us, we settle in now to the routine of the fall semester. This week begins with special guests on campus. Participants in the annual January Bible Study Preview are on campus this morning and this evening. Please join me in greeting them and making them feel welcome.
Make plans now to be on campus Saturday for our annual Meet the Toppers Day in Tyler Gymnasium. The 5K run begins at 8:30 with activities starting at 10:00 in the gym. This is your chance to meet all of our athletes, to stock up on Topper gear, and to enjoy some tasty burgers and “fixins.”
The Topper athletic season is already off to a fantastic start with our cross country teams posting great times at the MC meet last Friday. The guys finished third out of seven, and the ladies finished second behind MC. Page Rowland placed first, and Catherine Snyder finished second. Congratulations to Coach Laney and to our Topper runners!
Many of you are asking for information regarding tickets for the Tim Tebow event in April. We will be releasing details shortly. Please feel free to contact Jody Hill at 662-685-4771, ext. 111 or at email@example.com with inquiries. Let’s pledge as a community to pray for Tim as he prepares to share with us on April 12.
Have a blessed week!
