He Lives!
Good Morning!

He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!

I hope that you and your family enjoyed a beautiful Easter weekend in observance of the resurrected Lord.

This week marks the much anticipated arrival of our SACSCOC reaffirmation team on the BMC campus. Please join me in extending to these special guests a warm welcome to Blue Mountain College.

We will welcome Rob Chambers to campus Thursday evening to present a lecture on “The Establishment and Future of Israel in Hostile World.” Mr. Chambers is Senior Consultant with the Christian Action Commission in Jackson. The lecture, which begins at 6:30 in Berry Auditorium, is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and by Pi Gamma Mu.

Many BMC-ers are celebrating birthdays this week: Dr. Jeff Sweatt, Angela Wilbourn, Mary Dee Emerson, Bryana Davis, April Nicholson, Whitney Gunn, Vlad Filipovic, Jamieon Davis, Lee Pittman, Zach Gooch, Amanda Mask, Tucker Trumbo, Tori Baldwin, James Baker, Lisa Bradley, Mandy Koon, Deserae Farrell, and Cassidy Blaylock.

If you have not had the opportunity to cheer our baseball and softball teams on this season, Tuesday is your day! Both teams will be in action Tuesday afternoon at the BNA Sportsplex in New Albany.

Thursday afternoon at 3:00 in the SUB we will host the first annual BMC Research Day. Congratulations to each student whose scholarly endeavors will be featured at this inaugural event. Thursday evening our theatre students will be presenting a musical theatre showcase at 7:30 in Garrett.

We are pleased to have Rev. Philip Cooper as our chapel speaker today and Dr. Randy Bostick as our speaker on Friday.

I will be traveling to Jackson on Thursday afternoon and then on to Hattiesburg on Friday for the spring meeting of the Education Commission. On Saturday Nancy McDonald, Anna Quinn, and I will visit with our Greater Nashville area alums. Keep us and our teams who are traveling in your prayers.
