Glimpses of Glory
Good Monday to Each of You!

Yesterday I was blessed by the opportunity to join in worship at First Baptist Church of Okolona.  Pastor Eric Boykin delivered a wonderful message on recognizing the glory of God as expressed in creation.  As I was driving home I saw glimpses of this glory all around in the brilliant sunlight that illumined the fall landscape, showcasing the colors of autumn.  This morning I received this video that reminded me again of God’s artistry through light and color.  If you have time, you might enjoy watching it too:  Click here: Colors

Please join me in saying a word of thanks to our veterans who serve our country so faithfully and bravely.  We appreciate all who serve!

Here’s some exciting news:   Four BMC students have qualified to compete in the NAIA national championship this Saturday in Vancouver, Washington.  Kelsea Hendrix and Latifa Swims will compete in the women’s 5k race at Fort Vancouver National Historical Site, and Austin Epting and Carter Witt will complete in the 8k men’s race.  Kelsea, Latifa, Austin, and Carter, we are so proud of you!

Congratulations to our men’s and women’s basketball teams; both are off to a great start.  If you haven’t been out to a Topper game, I hope you will come out soon.  Tomorrow night’s first game starts at 5:30.

I will be speaking on Thursday to the senior adults at First Baptist Church in Ripley.  Please pray for me as I prepare for this event.
Please pray as well for our recent graduate Tonya Gray, who was involved in a serious car accident.  Tonya is currently enrolled as a graduate student at BMC.

Don’t forget the retirement reception for Dr. Janice Nicholson on Thursday at 2:00 in conference room 27 of the admin building.

There will be one more Monday Message before Thanksgiving, but--for those who will be away or traveling--allow me to wish you and your family a very blessed season of gratitude.
