It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around BMC! From the beautiful trees and nativity scene in Lowrey to the wreaths and garlands bedecking the campus, it is clear that the most wonderful time of the year has arrived. Many thanks to Tommy Peters, Jack Moser, Nancy Byrd, Amy Thurmond, Steven Wilbanks, Chelsey Griffin, Annabeth Barnes and Carol Peters for making the Christmas transformation happen.
We will celebrate the season of our Lord’s birth together tomorrow evening with Lessons & Carols beginning at 7:30 in Lowrey Memorial Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to join us for this time of worship led by the BMC Chorale under the direction of Dr. Greg Long.
Basketball fans will have plenty to cheer about this week with games in Tyler Gymnasium on four nights this week. The men take on Lyon tonight at 7:00; the women play Fisk tomorrow night at 5:30. Tougaloo will be in town Thursday evening for women’s and men’s games. The women will play Southern at 2:00 on Saturday.
Today in chapel we welcome Rita Sweatt back to BMC for what I am sure will be another moving dramatic monologue.
Faculty, staff, trustees, and students are invited to Armstrong Thursday afternoon from 3:30 until 5:00 for a Christmas open house in celebration of Armstrong’s 75th anniversary.
Please keep me in your prayers as I will be away Saturday through Tuesday for the annual SACSCOC conference in Nashville.
Pray for our students as they complete the last week of class before finals. May they stay focused and finish strong!
