The business program at Blue Mountain College offers a broad based curriculum that covers all the important areas of business including courses in marketing, management, accounting and finance. The program prepares students for a career in business with potential opportunities in banking, sales, insurance, management, retail and other areas of business by providing you with the essential skills needed to succeed.
There is a core group of business classes that all business majors take. Some examples include business communications, business math, business law ,business finance, fundamentals of marketing, principles of management and accounting.
All business students will have an opportunity to work with companies in the area on creating business and marketing plans to improve their existing businesses. Current classes are working with the campus bookstore, developing a new beverage product, and assisting Sugaree’s Bakery in New Albany, Miss. with promotion and brand awareness.
The Business Administration program at Blue Mountain College prepares you for a career in business with potential opportunities in banking, sales, insurance, management, retail and other areas of business by providing with you the essential skills to succeed. Class sizes are small which provides the opportunity for you to develop critical thinking skills, learn a vast array of analysis tools and build your communication skills.
Students are provided an opportunity to do an internship in business. Students have been placed in internships with State Farm Insurance, Union County Development Association, Ashley Furniture and the Financial Aid Office at Blue Mountain College.
