NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jessi Hayles of Blue Mountain College is the TranSouth Athletic Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 3, 2013.
Hayles, a 5-9 senior guard from Pontotoc, averaged 20.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game on the week. Hayles had a pair of 25-point games in wins over Rust College and Martin Methodist College and 12 points in a loss at Freed-Hardeman University.
For the week she shot 49 percent (23-47) from the field and 52 percent (11-21) from three-point range. The Lady Toppers are now 13-9 on the season and are tied for second in the TranSouth at 2-2.
